Shoshone Falls is known as the Niagara of the West.  Located near Twin Falls Idaho, it is arguably the most  wonderful natural beauty along the Snake River.  At 212 feet its drop is nearly 40 feet greater than Niagara Falls.  In the late spring and early fall these falls are well worth the visit. In years with a lot of winter snow melt and before water is diverted for irrigation they can be quite spectacular.  However, even in a year with less snow and rain fall, as this one has been, the falls are still quite a thing of beauty.   To learn more about Shoshone Falls check out the link HERE.
